Collection Features John Thomas Furniture has proudly been crafting the finest solid wood home furnishings. We believe in, and are inherently committed to, offering the most beautiful, long-lasting, affordable home furnishings. Our product is made entirely of Parawood, which, in density, is similar to Maple. It is valued for its dense grain, minimal shrinkage, attractive light color and ease of finishing. It is also prized as an "environmentally friendly" wood, as it makes use of plantation-grown trees that have been cut down at the end of their latex-producing cycle.
Our Tables... have ball-bearing extension glides making for a seamless, smooth transition from smaller to larger dining. Gap covers that ensure our table aprons are continuous and allow for minor table expansion due to drastic climate changes. They are crafted with folding leaf hinges that enable table leaves to store flat as well as providing leaf apron protection, apron stabilizers that ensure strength and stability of a table, self-storing Butterfly Leaf (Leaves) that save space, and reinforced corner block bolts with locking nuts/washers for maximum stability.
Our Chairs... are built with leg stretchers to ensure the legs do not loosen from the strenuous and everyday use chairs undergo. Leg stretchers that are both glued and screwed in place. They are constructed entirely of solid wood (all parts and components). Our custom upholstered seat options are all manufactured in the U.S.
Our Finishing... we use only high-performance, pre-catalyzed sealers/lacquers understanding that you don't just stand around and look at your furniture...you use it!

Finishes
Solid vs Aged Paints
All paint colors are available both as a solid color or with aged effect. The solid paint colors = WM sku#. These are one solid color overall, though some grain will show through depending on the model. The Aged paint colors = AG sku#. These are antiqued with a light rub through on various edges of the product (where natural wear would occur).
Hand Distressed Finishes
Our Hand Distressed Finishes (HD) represents the natural hardships of time with random chain marks, wormholes and hand brushed stain and glazing, as well as edges being worn, darkened, and rasped to create a unique look of old world charm.
Premium Finishes
Our Premium Finishes (PR) represent aged/antique wash overall.

Construction Protect Your Investment
Furnishings are an investment, a big, long-term investment and just like any investment - you can make a good one or a bad one. 95% of all John Thomas Furniture products are proudly crafted in Parawood - an extremely dense plantation-grown hardwood. We use pre-catalyzed clear conversion coatings. Our coatings are non-yellowing and HAP-free (hazardous air pollutant) while offering outstanding UV resistance. All our coatings have undergone rigorous quality testing to verify performance and application characteristics. We received the highest resistance ratings against the following household chemicals: Vinegar, Juices, Ketchup, Olive Oil, Hot/Cold water, Nail Polish Remover, Ammonia, Alcohol, Windex, Lysol, 409, Coffee, and Wine among others. Our finishes take up to 21 days after the delivery date to fully cure. Prior to this date, use your furniture with care.
No natural wood product/finish is indestructible, so we recommend the following tips for care and extended life:
-Cleaning is easy! A warm damp cloth is all that is needed.
-Immediately wipe away any spilled liquids
-Avoid placing your furniture in direct sunlight for extended amounts of time
-Leave your table leaf extensions in place to ensure the uniform aging of your finish
-Avoid placing your furniture near heating vents or wood burning stoves
-For everyday use, we recommend using fabric placemats and or trivets with felt protectors
-Avoid putting extremely hot or cold objects in direct contact with a wood surface. Extreme temperatures can cause discoloration to the wood finish and may cause permanent and irreparable damage

John Thomas Furniture offers a 1-year manufacture warranty to our dealers for factory defects only. Our service contract is with our dealers and their contract/ service agreements are with their customers.
